Two things to read before anything else. Petdaco is not a veterinarian and does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Everything it says about your pet's health is a guess based on a photo and must not replace professional care. And AI can be wrong — sometimes confidently wrong. Use it to notice things, not to decide things.
By downloading or using Petdaco for iOS, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old (16 where local law requires) to accept them.
Petdaco is a record-keeping app for dog and cat owners. It stores profiles, health events, reminders, mood notes, behaviour notes and photos on your device. On the paid plan it also offers AI features: natural-language chat that can run app functions, photo description, and suggestions for journal entries that you review before anything is saved.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. We do not sell you the app; we license it.
Petdaco does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian. Nothing in the app — including AI text, photo descriptions, mood or behaviour suggestions, or health notes — constitutes medical advice.
The app is designed not to name diseases, not to judge severity, and not to suggest medication, dosage or treatment. If it ever appears to do so, treat that as an error and disregard it. For any concern about your pet's health, contact a veterinarian. In an emergency, contact an emergency veterinary hospital immediately — do not wait for the app.
The AI features use third-party large language and vision models. Their output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or simply made up. Photo descriptions reflect what a model thinks it sees, not what is objectively true.
You are responsible for what you do with that output. Review anything before saving it to your pet's records, and do not rely on it for decisions about health, medication, feeding or safety. We do not guarantee any level of accuracy.

Subscription prices are shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency as set by the App Store. Current list prices are US$6.99 per month and US$39.99 per year; local prices may differ due to taxes and App Store pricing tiers.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged within 24 hours before each renewal. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Trials. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are granted or refused by Apple under its policy, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a refund is given, access to the subscription ends.
Price changes. We may change prices. Existing subscribers are notified by Apple before a change applies to them and may cancel if they disagree.
Everything you enter — profiles, notes, photos — belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it. Because it is stored only on your device and we hold no copy, you are responsible for keeping backups: use the in-app export, or your normal device backup.
You confirm that you have the right to the photos you add. Do not upload images of other people without their permission.

We may suspend access to the AI features (not to your local records) if we detect abuse.
AI features depend on third-party providers and on network access. They may be unavailable, slow, rate-limited, or changed at any time. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any AI feature; where a paid feature is permanently removed, we will give reasonable notice and, where required, a pro-rata refund.
Record-keeping functions work offline and do not depend on our service.
The app, its design, its text and its code are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. These terms give you a licence to use the app, not ownership of it. The Petdaco name and logo may not be used without permission.
The app is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you non-waivable rights, those rights are unaffected.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete it. We may terminate these terms if you materially breach them. On termination, your licence ends; your local records remain yours and remain on your device until you delete them.
These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of Hong Kong SAR, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in their country of residence where local law gives them that right. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan or Macao, mandatory consumer protections of your home jurisdiction apply and prevail over this clause.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes accordingly, and material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and, where applicable, cancel your subscription.
These terms are available in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by local law.

试用。如果提供免费试用，试用期结束后会自动转为付费订阅，除非在结束前至少 24 小时取消。购买订阅时，试用中未使用的部分将作废。
退款。购买由 Apple 处理，退款由 Apple 按其政策决定同意或拒绝，不由我们决定。 可在 reportaproblem.apple.com 申请。退款成功后订阅权限即终止。
价格调整。我们可能调整价格。已有订阅用户会在变更生效前收到 Apple 的通知， 不同意可以取消。

本 App 按「现状」提供。在法律允许的最大范围内，我们否认一切默示担保， 包括适销性、特定用途适用性与不侵权。我们不保证 App 不中断、无错误，也不保证 AI 输出准确。
在法律允许的最大范围内，我们就本 App 产生的全部责任，以你在索赔前十二个月内支付给我们的金额 与 50 美元中的较高者为限。我们不对间接、附带、特殊或后果性损害负责，也不对数据、利润或商誉损失负责。
本条款不排除依法不得排除的责任，包括因过失导致的人身伤亡与欺诈。如果你所在法域赋予你 不可放弃的消费者权利，这些权利不受影响。
你可以随时停止使用并删除 App。若你严重违反本条款，我们可终止本条款。终止后许可结束； 你的本地记录仍归你所有，并继续留在你的设备上，直到你删除。
本条款是你与我们之间的约定，与 Apple 无关。Apple 不对本 App 及其内容负责。
本条款适用中国香港特别行政区法律，不适用冲突法规则。争议提交香港特别行政区法院处理； 但消费者在本地法律赋予其权利的情况下，也可向其居住国法院提起诉讼。如果你是中国台湾、中国澳门、 新加坡、马来西亚、澳大利亚、新西兰、加拿大或欧盟的消费者，你所在法域的强制性消费者保护规定 优先适用于本条。
